A good old fashioned Fish Boil

Two weekends ago, we went with my mom and her bf, Larry out to dinner up in Genoa City, Wisconsin to a place called Fitzgerald's. It was a fish boil and it was sooooo good!!! Mmm!

I was so neat there. It is in an old Victorian octogan shaped house. Nothing seems as though it was changed since back 20+ years ago.

It was definitely different, but the food was oh so good. You basically get to sit yourself and you can sit up or downstairs. It's similar to a buffet, but I didn't get that gross buffet feeling while I was there because it was so quaint.

You get homemade coleslaw, boiled cod (sooo good), boiled potatoes and onions and "one piece" (as the little old lady told us when we walked in) of the apple strudel-ish dessert (really good too!). And you can go up as much as you'd like. I think we paid $12 per person, but you don't really need to tip if you're not ordering alcoholic drinks because you get your own water, tea or coffee. It was a fun experience.

They even had this little 'gift shop' with antique stuff in there. I found a few pieces I could have bought, but restrained myself!

Afterwards, we walked out back (which they encourage) to see where they make most of the food. There were 2 or 3 calderons boiling over fires. It was pretty neat!

We had a great time!!!
